About The Role

We are seeking an Engineer, Firmware Development to join our Valencia R&D team. This full-time, remote position is suitable for new graduates or candidates with experience. The candidate will be integrated into a dynamic cross-functional team to develop communication systems for Smart Grid transformation, manufacturing yields, and costs through creative thinking and innovative ideas.

The role requires strong programming skills, a deep understanding of networking protocols, and a desire to develop embedded solutions for cutting-edge networking products.

Responsibilities

• Development of embedded firmware for real-time systems.
• Specify and implement drivers, algorithms, and protocols for our BPL communications system.
• Low-level design, implementation, and unit testing of networking technology features.
• Participation in continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Strong programming skills, with good knowledge of C and network protocols.
• Experience with low-level programming (OS core and drivers).
• Knowledge of GNU tool chain, scripting (Python, bash), IP networks, communication protocols, RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, uC/OS, ThreadX), embedded CPU architectures, and Linux system administration.
• Deep desire to learn and develop skills in embedded software development for networking products.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Industry experience in embedded software and communication systems is an asset.
