Job summary
Rondo Energy in Madrid or London seeks a Sr. Manager to shape energy strategy and power procurement for its Heat Battery projects across Europe, Australia and the US. You will define sourcing approaches, price assessments and final contracting with suppliers.
You will build market intelligence, manage procurement processes (RFIs/RFPs), negotiate VPPA and other terms, and partner with IPPs, traders and developers to unlock project bankability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Energy Economics; MBA/Master's preferred.
- 3+ years in power procurement, renewables or energy trading in European markets.
- Experience with PPAs, wholesale markets and energy-as-a-service models.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop power pricing and sourcing strategies for new projects.
- Secure and manage tools, software or partners for forecasts and grid support.
- Build relationships with IPPs, traders, utilities and developers.
- Structure, negotiate and execute electricity procurement agreements including VPPA and grid charging.
- Lead RFIs/RFPs and evaluate offers on commercial, technical and regulatory criteria.
- Identify and negotiate key terms for power supply agreements and hedges.
