Job summary

ALOHAS is seeking an FTW Product Development Lead to own the development function end-to-end, including processes, standards, supplier relations, and team structure. You will work with Design, Merchandising, Production and report to the Chief Product Officer.

This hands-on role requires deep footwear development knowledge, leadership, and the ability to build scalable processes. Expect travel and close collaboration with factories in Spain and Portugal.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of footwear product development experience.
• Deep knowledge of footwear construction, materials, fit, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience leading or structuring a team; hands-on when needed.
• Track record working with suppliers and factories, preferably in Spain or Portugal.
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems; strong Excel skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (essential).
• Willing to travel ~20% to factories, shows and sourcing materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full product development cycle from tech-pack to GTM-ready sample — footwear first, accessories as scope grows.
• Review proto, sealing, and pre-production samples with precise technical feedback.
• Validate new materials and processes before production.
• Develop and maintain relationships with factories and material suppliers in Spain/Portugal.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to drive innovation, sustainability, and efficiency.
• Define product development KPIs and report to senior leadership.
• Establish and improve processes to make the development engine reliable and scalable.
• Own and manage the product development calendar in collaboration with Merchandising.
