RES Cequelinos, Galicia, Spain is seeking an Employee Relations Senior Manager to provide executive advice on HR legal matters in complex projects, ensuring compliance and dialogue with worker representatives, including the European Worker Council.

You will partner with business and People & Culture leadership to drive global labour strategies, lead negotiations with works councils and unions, and oversee contracts and labour documentation across jurisdictions.

Formación

  • Degree in Law, with additional specialization a plus.
  • Extensive senior experience in Labor Relations or Employment Law.
  • Experience with works councils, unions, and collective bargaining.
  • Experience across multiple jurisdictions is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Define and execute the global labour relations strategy.
  • Act as primary authority on Spanish labour law; ensure compliance.
  • Provide labour guidance across other jurisdictions.
  • Assess labour risks related to changes, M&A and restructurings.
  • Develop global labour policies and procedures.
  • Review employment contracts and related documentation.
  • Lead labour audits for regulatory compliance.
  • Manage relationships with works councils and unions, including European Worker Council.
  • Lead collective bargaining processes and formal negotiations.
  • Represent the company in labour-related proceedings.

The Position

The Employee Relations Senior Manager is responsible for providing executive advice in HR Legal matters in complex projects involving employee relations matters. The role secure compliance with HR Legal matters and keep dialogue with worker representatives, including European Worker council. To this end, it will be required a close collaboration with business leadership and People & Culture leadership to enable projects and manage complex employee matters.

Key Accountabilities
  • Define and execute the global labour relations strategy aligned with business priorities in a fast-growing international environment.
  • Act as the company’s primary authority on Spanish labour law, ensuring full legal compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Provide labour guidance and oversight across other jurisdictions, supporting international growth and local compliance.
  • Assess labour risks related to organizational changes, M&A and restructurings
  • Develop and maintain global labour policies, frameworks and procedures that ensure consistency, scalability and legal compliance.
  • Review and oversee employment contracts, contractual addenda, disciplinary frameworks and labour-related documentation.
  • Lead internal and external labour audits, ensuring documentation accuracy, traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and manage the company’s strategy for relationships with works councils, employee representatives and unions, including European Worker Council.
  • Lead collective bargaining processes, consultations and formal information and negotiation procedures.
  • Represent the company in labour-related proceedings and formal interactions with social partners and authorities.
Knowledge & Skills.
  • Strong expertise in Spanish labour law and solid knowledge of international labour frameworks. Experience in France or Italian labour law would be a plus.
  • Strong analytical, risk-assessment and decision-making skills with a business-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills at senior level.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
Experience
  • Extensive experience in senior roles in Labor Relations, Employment Law or Employee Relations, preferably a combined career in a labour firm and in-house employee relations role.
  • Proven experience managing complex ER cases, labour disputes, reorganizations, negotiations, works councils and unions involving blue collars.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Law; additional specialization is a plus.
