Direct Supervision of: Humanitarian Action, Emergency and Development Director

We are looking for a person whose main mission will be to write and monitor grant proposals for Emergency and Humanitarian Action projects.

Goals

Your goals in our organization will be...

  • The writing and justification of grant proposals.
  • The follow-up of grant proposals according to donor regulations and internal organizational policies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare project proposals and reports as required and assigned by the Area Director, working independently on assigned projects and coordinating with relevant staff.
  • Develop high-quality, responsive project proposals, concept papers, and reports in coordination with UNRWA Field Offices and departments.
  • Monitor project implementation in coordination with field departments, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
  • Research and monitor calls for proposals and funding opportunities.
  • Maintain and update project tracking systems.
  • Ensure projects are developed and implemented with a Gender and Human Rights approach.
  • Gather documentation to resolve issues or fulfill donor reporting and audit requirements.
  • Organize field missions, including logistics and planning, and gather information on project development, needs, and challenges.
  • Maintain effective communication with donors and internal departments.
  • Support dissemination of organizational activities through events, campaigns, newsletters, website, and media.
Professional Knowledge and Experience
  • University degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Postgraduate studies in management of International Cooperation or Humanitarian Aid projects.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in International Cooperation and/or Humanitarian Aid projects.
  • At least 2 years experience as a project officer managing projects funded through decentralized cooperation, with at least one year not abroad.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
  • Proficiency in planning tools like LFM, and a Human Rights and Gender approach.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, email, search tools).
  • Residence in Navarra.
Additional Plus
  • Passion and commitment to Palestine refugees.
  • Knowledge of Middle East geopolitics, Israeli occupation, and Palestine issues.
  • Knowledge of Arabic.
  • Work or volunteer experience in the Middle East, especially Palestine.
  • Disability certification.

Our Proposal for You

Vacancy Code: TEAH 2024.05

Annual Gross Salary: Competitive, with social benefits, learning and development plan, and work-from-home options.

Flexible remuneration including medical insurance.

Working hours: 38 hours/week, with summer hours for three months, flexible start and end times.

Annual leave: 23 working days.

Contract: Indefinite.

Expected start date: July 2024.
