The
EMEA IT SAP Financials Business Process Architect (EMEA SAP FI-CO BPA)
is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of the IT Strategy for the EMEA Region. The mission is to drive the adoption of a global model based on the US SAP ECC system, rolling out the solution in the European companies. He/she reports to the EMEA IT ERP Program Lead and is responsible for analyzing, developing, and deploying the GPI SAP solution in close interaction with EU Business Process Enablers and Local Referents. The role can be based in Spain or Poland.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out the rollout of the GPI US SAP system in the Controlling and Finance area in the EMEA region.
- Building in-depth process knowledge to support current business and operational processes, such as Product costing controlling, Variance analysis, Sales & Profitability Controlling (CO-PA), Project System controlling, Finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, SL), Operational and Group Reporting, and Integration with SAP S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN).
- Ensuring smooth communication between business and IT departments, working closely with internal US/EMEA IT teams and external parties.
- Supporting S/4HANA migration after ECC roll-out, application maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and user training.
- Contributing to project execution and reporting to the Program Lead.
- Facilitating stakeholder negotiations, modeling business processes, system design, data migration, testing, and go-live activities.
- Supporting data cleansing, defining test scenarios, and managing change to ensure successful implementation.
Required skills include:
- At least 7 years of experience in SAP CO and 5 years in SAP FI modules.
- Experience with large IT transformation programs in international environments.
- Strong background in financial business processes, SAP design, and customization, preferably in Printing/Packaging or Consumer Products industries.
- Knowledge of EDIs, LSMW, BAPIs, BADIs, and enhancement methods; familiarity with WinShuttle and ABAP debugging.
- Understanding of S/4HANA capabilities, fluency in English, and additional European languages as a plus.
- Proven ability to lead change, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively across teams.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Economics, with post-graduate studies preferred. The role demands a dynamic, results-driven, and analytical professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
