The EMEA IT SAP Financials Business Process Architect (EMEA SAP FI-CO BPA) is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of the IT Strategy for the EMEA Region. The role involves driving the adoption of a global model based on the US SAP ECC system and rolling out the solution in European companies. Reporting to the EMEA IT ERP Program Lead, the architect will analyze, develop, and deploy the GPI SAP solution in collaboration with EU Business Process Enablers and Local Referents, contributing to the platform's evolution in line with IT strategy.
This position can be based in Spain or Poland.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out the rollout of the GPI US SAP system in Controlling and Finance in the EMEA region.
- Developing in-depth process knowledge to support current business and operational processes such as product costing, sales & profitability controlling, project system controlling, finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, SL), operational and group reporting, and integration with SAP S/4HANA Central Finance.
- Ensuring smooth communication between business and IT departments, working closely with internal US/EMEA IT teams and external vendors.
- Supporting S/4HANA migration post ECC rollout, application maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and user training.
- Participating in projects, supporting testing strategies, and delivering solutions on time and within budget.
- Facilitating stakeholder negotiations, supporting business process modeling, and managing data migration and cleansing activities.
The role also involves:
- Designing and improving the global SAP solution, consolidating best practices, and contributing to solution design based on industry standards.
- Supporting development and testing activities, ensuring documentation and defect resolution.
- Contributing to data migration, cut-over activities, and post-go-live support.
- Defining rollout strategies and roadmaps.
Required skills and competencies include:
- 7+ years in SAP CO and 5+ years in SAP FI, with experience in large international IT transformation programs.
- Proven SAP design and customization experience, preferably in Printing, Packaging, or Consumer Products industries.
- Strong financial business process knowledge, familiarity with EDI, LSMW, BAPIs, BADIs, and WinShuttle.
- Basic understanding of ABAP, S/4HANA knowledge in relevant areas, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Post-graduate degree in IT, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- Fluent English, additional European languages are a plus.
