Job Description:

The EMEA IT SAP Financials Business Process Architect (EMEA SAP FI-CO BPA) is responsible to support the planning and execution of the IT Strategy for the EMEA Region. The mission is to drive the adoption of a global model based on the US SAP ECC system, rolling out the solution in the European companies. He reports to the EMEA IT ERP Program Lead and will be responsible to execute the activities assigned to him. He/she is responsible for analysing, developing, deploying the GPI SAP solution in close interaction with the EU Business Process Enablers and the Local Referents. He/she contributes to the evolution of the platform to the new requirements in line with the defined IT strategy.

This role can be based in Spain or in Poland.

You will be able to add value to the company and team, by the following tasks:

  • Responsible for carrying out the roll out of the GPI US SAP system in the Controlling and Finance area in the EMEA region.
  • Build-up in depth process knowledge and become a key element in the organization to support the current business and operational processes:
  • Product costing controlling / Variance analysis
  • Sales & Profitability Controlling (CO-PA)
  • Finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, SL)
  • Operational and Group Reporting
  • Integration with Sap S4 Central Finance (CFIN)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key touch points and integration to SAP MM/SD/PP modules
  • Link between business and IT departments and responsible for the smooth communication between both parties.
  • Work in close interaction with internal US/EMEA IT team and external parties.
  • S/4 Hana migration upon completion of ECC roll-out phase.
  • Application Maintenance and Support in EMEA region team - Manage troubleshooting, modification, maintenance, and enhancement.
  • Document the process and deliver training to the users.
  • Involved in projects and report to the Program Lead.
  • You are a key element in the SAP EMEA Centre of excellence which require:
  • Facilitating the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders.
  • Business Process Modelling capabilities (BPMN, Process Diagram, etc.)
  • Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules and analysing and creating detailed functional and development specifications.
  • Supporting business in Data cleansing activities and managing the data upload
  • Main interactions and relationship - Internal: Business, IT team (Application/Technical/Security) - External: Consulting firms, SAP, Software/tool vendor
  • Contribute to the definition of test approach and scenarios, organize and execute and/or validate Unit and System Integration testing
  • Deliver the solutions as per plans (on-budget and on-time)
  • Ability to drive change and ensure alignment at every stage from main stakeholders and impacted parties
  • Ability to understand and synthesize business needs from multiple sources, and identify arbitration needs
  • Have superior communication and interaction skills, including tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to collect data and report blocking points
  • Issue resolution and value realization oriented

As part of the Program, the main tasks of the EMEA IT FI-CO BPA are:

Design/improve/be the guardian of the Global Solution

  • Provide expertise of existing business processes / SAP solutions
  • Collects the knowledge of as-is, best practices and possible improvements and consolidate from IT local and global network of experts (internal and/or external consultants)
  • Contributes with the local Business team to the definition of the design of the solution based on industry best practices
  • Develops him/herself on the capabilities provided by SAP S4Hana for his/her perimeter.

Development and testing

  • Organizes and supports the execution of unit-tests, integration tests and User Acceptance Tests
  • Ensures that the documents about the configuration of the system are kept up to date.
  • Contributes with the development team to the specific developments
  • Ensures that the test results are properly evaluated, and all the defects addressed.

Migration and go-live

  • Support and contributes to data migration activities
  • Support and executes cut-over activities
  • Deliver post go-live support

Roll-out strategy and roadmap

  • Contributes to the definition of the roll-out strategy
  • Contributes to the definition of the implementation roadmap

What skills & competences do you need?

  • + 7 years professional experience in Functional SAPCO + 5 years in SAP FI.
  • Experience of implementing large IT transformation programs in complex and international environments.
  • Demonstrate a good track record in SAP design and customizing (SAP CO and FI modules) preferably in Printing/Packaging or Consumer Products industry.
  • Strong background in Financials business processes.
  • Working knowledge of EDIs, LSMW, BAPIs, BADIs, and other enhancement methods is a requirement. Knowledge and use of WinShuttle application is highly appreciated.
  • General understanding of ABAP; debug skill required.
  • Knowledge on S/4 Hana in his/her area.
  • At ease with Microsoft Office tools, project management tool and in general with IS tools.

Post-graduate studies (4/5 years): Master in IT, Engineering, Master in Scientific disciplines, Master in economics.

Fluent English mandatory as working language. Any additional European language (French, Spanish, Dutch, German) a plus.
