SOTEC Consulting – ASTEK Group is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a strategic space sector project. You will develop, integrate, and validate embedded software on Linux platforms, with a focus on critical systems, reporting to a cross-disciplinary team in an international context.

Requirements include 5+ years in embedded development, strong C/C++, Linux experience, and English proficiency. EU citizenship and an active or prior Personal Security Clearance (HPS) are needed.

Formación

• At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong programming experience in C and C++.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• EU citizenship required.
• Personal Security Clearance (HPS) either held or in place.
• High level of English for international project.
• Experience in test automation and validation using Robot Framework and Selenium.

About the Role

At SOTEC Consulting – ASTEK Group, we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a strategic project within the space sector. We are seeking a professional with solid experience in embedded software development to participate in the development, integration, and validation of highly critical space systems, contributing to international programs using cutting‑edge technologies in the space sector.

High level of English required (international project)

• Develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++.
• Design, implement, and optimize new software functionalities.
• Integrate software components into Linux platforms.
• Participate in software verification and validation activities.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Automate testing and validation processes using specialized tools.

• Citizenship of a European Union member state.
• Holding, or having previously held, a Personal Security Clearance (HPS).

• Knowledge of operating systems, software architecture, and low-level programming.
• Experience in test automation and validation using Robot Framework and Selenium.
• Experience in software integration, testing, and validation.

Nice to Have

• Experience in space sector projects.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, or other critical systems environments.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI/CD).
• Experience with scripting and process automation.
• Knowledge of Git and version control tools.
• Familiarity with quality standards and development practices applicable to critical software.
