Job responsibilities
The Parts Laboratory at ALTER TECHNOLOGY provides services to ensure the reliability of EEE parts in space and high-reliability applications, ranging from receiving inspection to complete evaluation and qualification of ICs. As part of the Electrical Test Laboratory, you will be responsible for EEE parts characterization, automation of electrical tests, and development of device interface boards (DIB) according to laboratory test systems. Your tasks include:
- Developing customized DIB solutions integrated into production test environments.
- Managing parametric test automation programming.
- Troubleshooting production issues related to test setups, programming, and testing methods.
- Designing and developing electronic systems and sub-systems.
- Providing technical support to customers and manufacturers.
Candidate requirements
- Electronics or related university degree; a PhD is an asset; lower qualifications may be considered based on experience.
- Relevant experience in electronic test and characterization engineering, including electronic system design and laboratory equipment (power supplies, signal generators, SMUs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal test equipment, GPIB, etc.).
- Experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
- Knowledge of complex microelectronic devices, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Familiarity with software and firmware programming (VHDL/Verilog, Visual Basic, C++, Python) and communication protocols (ETH, SPI, I2C), as well as schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, PADS).
- Desirable knowledge includes automatic test equipment (ATE) such as Teradyne UltraFlex, SZ UNITS, Applicos ATX7006, Cohu DiamondX Test systems.
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.
- Motivated, proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative technical solutions.
