You play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients.

As an Electromechanical Engineer, you are responsible for installation, calibration, and commissioning activities at the Proton Therapy site, with a specific focus on electromechanical equipment in the Treatment Room.

You will work in a team of approximately 9 people and report to the Site Manager.

Challenges we trust you with

As an Electromechanical Engineer, your responsibilities include:

  1. During the installation phase (11 months):
  • Participating in the installation of IBA equipment and technical tools on the Proton Therapy site, focusing on electromechanical equipment (electrical and electronics cabinets, cooling systems, vacuum systems, high and low voltage equipment, etc.).
  • Testing and validating equipment according to specifications, ensuring compliance with customer requirements in terms of quality, technical performance, and timing.
  • Analyzing data critically to diagnose potential technical problems.
  • Collaborating closely with subcontractors during installation and commissioning to supervise the process until startup.
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services.
  • During the Customer Service phase:
    • Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment.
    • Operating the system and providing technical support to medical staff during patient treatments and clinical operations.
    • Meeting client requirements related to technical performance, timing, and safety.
    • Training customers.
    • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance (shift work).
    • Upgrading and improving the system in collaboration with R&D.
    What we value

    You have:

    • Relevant technical experience in electronics, electrical systems troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair, and operation of large systems. Experience with tools like cooling systems, vacuum systems, PLCs, regulation loops, drivers, sensors, electric motors, positioning equipment, high and low voltage equipment.
    • The ability to troubleshoot large system issues.
    • Knowledge of local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations.

    • Customer-oriented.
    • Proactive, driven, and hands-on.
    • Able to follow rules and regulations, and capable of delivering on strict deadlines.
    • Analytical, with the ability to identify root causes of issues.
    • A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Willing to travel extensively during the training period (4 months).
    • Flexible, willing to work in rotating shifts, night shifts, and weekends (up to 50% of your time).
