Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe is seeking an Airframe Structural Design Engineer to join the Military Derivatives Team (Air Power). The selected candidate will design and develop structural aircraft components using Catia V5 and Full3D, working within a new multidisciplinary team on a strategic military program.

You will collaborate with stress, analysis, loads, systems installation, materials and manufacturing teams, while coordinating internal and external suppliers to deliver

Formación

• Education: Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering degree, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Proven experience in Airframe Structural Design applying metallic and composites technologies to major components (Empennage, Fuselage, Wing, Weapons Bay, Doors, Mechanisms, or Military Systems).
• Soft skills: Strong communication, proactive attitude, high team-play spirit, and ability to manage internal people as well as external suppliers.
• Languages: Good level of English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
• Technical knowledge: Structural design, pre-sizing knowledge, configuration management, materials and manufacturing processes, modern CAD/DMU tools (Catia V5, CSG Full3D).
• Valuable / Nice to have: French language would be a desirable plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop structural aircraft components, assemblies, installations, and design solutions for A/C Derivatives programs using Catia V5, CSG Full3D.
• Establish design principles, Key Characteristics Design, interfaces, frontiers, interface points, materials, and detailed manufacturing process definitions.
• Participate actively in concurrent engineering processes with industrial and production teams with a customer-oriented approach throughout the end-to-end product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with other Engineering Design offices (stress, analysis, loads, systems installation, armament, materials & processes, aerodynamics, DMU/CAD) to continuously refine interfaces.
• Manage and coordinate internal team members and external subcontracting companies.
• Provide technical support to various internal and external stakeholders (supply chain, quality, purchasing, manufacturing engineering, production, airworthiness, certification, and qualification).

Job Description:

An opportunity for an Airframe Structural Design Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Military Derivatives Team (Air Power). We are building a brand-new team inside an exciting and challenging new upcoming military Program that will help reinforce Spanish and European sovereignty. The team works in a collaborative, multicultural, and multidisciplinary environment focused on the launch and execution of ambitious military aircraft derivatives projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural aircraft components, assemblies, installations, and design solutions for A/C Derivatives programs using Catia V5, CSG Full3D, and modern design processes and tools.


• Establish design principles, Key Characteristics Design, interfaces, frontiers, interface points, materials, and detailed manufacturing process definitions.
