Mission

The role involves designing control hardware for ground infrastructure such as test benches and launch pad systems, in collaboration with the Avionics Department.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop hardware for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), test benches, and facilities to validate avionics at various levels.
  • Design control hardware for the MIURA 5 launch pad.
  • Ensure development meets specifications and requirements.
  • Manage hardware control systems throughout their lifecycle, from design to commissioning.
  • Coordinate with the Avionics Department to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare engineering documentation including electrical drawings, BOMs, and change notes for electric cabinets, sensors, and actuators.
  • Participate in design reviews concerning schematics and manufacturing, focusing on requirements, feasibility, lead times, and costs.
  • Continuously seek design optimization opportunities.
  • Identify ways to reduce costs and enhance functionality of test benches and launch pads.
  • Complete tasks on time, maintaining quality and controlling costs.
Necessary Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or relevant experience in Electrical Ground Support Equipment.
  • Over 5 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Knowledge of design criteria, wiring, connectors, and electrical properties per project needs.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel frequently to Teruel and Kourou.
  • Experience with avionics hardware, including flight computers, sensors, batteries, PCDUs, antennas, transmitters, receivers, actuators, and PCBAs.
