Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Nuclear Infrastructure in Madrid, Spain. The role focuses on electrical design within nuclear environments, supporting existing and new-build projects across Europe, with potential UK involvement. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in regulated settings and fluency in Spanish and English.

The position is full-time and on-site, relocation not offered, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of UK/European standards and practices.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• AIPE/AQPE qualification preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support electrical design packages for nuclear infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review single-line, three-line diagrams and protection schematics.
• Prepare technical specifications, BOMs and procurement documents.
• Undertake site surveys and assess existing infrastructure for improvements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
