Formación

Could you be the full-time EHS Technician in Madrid we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your EHS expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You will manage, perform, and ensure that activities related to Health and Safety are properly applied in projects. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across engineering and project management, coordinate the Health and Safety aspects for Maintenance Services projects, and more.

You will specifically provide technical expertise, guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle, offering technical EHS leadership in Maintenance Services Projects.

What we're looking for :

  • Perform EHS Risk Assessments and plan preventive activities to define appropriate measures for controlling risks in assigned projects / depots.
  • Prepare, implement, and maintain emergency plans.
  • Coordinate and control activities respecting EHS standards, especially where interfaces involve other contractors or operational areas.
  • Develop Site EHS Management System.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain local procedures and tools aligned with Alstom and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
  • Maintain EHS files and records.
  • Ensure compliance of site activities with EHS plans, guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Perform legal compliance checks related to EHS requirements.
  • Inform, instruct, and train employees to carry out work safely and environmentally responsibly according to methods of statement.
  • Conduct EHS visits to projects and depots.

About you

We value passion and attitude over experience. We don't expect you to have every skill listed, but the following will help you succeed and grow in this role :

Educational Requirements :

  • University Engineer or Business Degree
  • Health & Safety Qualification recognized by Spanish authorities (e.g., MS in Prevention of Occupational Risks)
  • Environmental Qualification at diploma or degree level (desirable)

Experience :

  • Up to 5 years of professional experience
  • At least 1 year in Environment, Health & Safety
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing sites; railway environment experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001; internal auditor certification is a plus
  • Deep understanding of local legal requirements
  • Experience as railway or EHS auditor is a plus

Language :

Fluent in Spanish and English
