Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your EHS expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive teammates.

You will manage, perform, and ensure activities related to Health and Safety are implemented in projects. Daily, you’ll collaborate with teams across engineering and project management, coordinate Health and Safety for Maintenance Services projects, and more.

You’ll specifically be responsible for providing technical expertise, guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle, as well as offering technical EHS leadership in Maintenance Services Projects.

We’ll look to you for:

  1. Perform EHS Risk Assessments and plan preventive measures to control risks in assigned projects/depots.
  2. Prepare, implement, and maintain emergency plans.
  3. Coordinate activities respecting EHS standards, especially where interfaces involve other contractors or operational areas.
  4. Develop Site EHS Management System
    • Develop, deploy, and maintain local procedures and tools aligned with Alstom and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
    • Maintain EHS files and records.
  5. EHS Compliance
    • Ensure site activities comply with the EHS Plan, guidelines, and work instructions.
    • Perform legal compliance checks for specific requirements.
  6. Develop EHS culture on site
    • Inform, instruct, and train employees to work safely and environmentally responsibly according to method statements.
    • Conduct EHS visits to Projects and Services depots.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. You don’t need to have every skill listed, but the following will help you succeed and grow:

Educational Requirements:

  • University Engineer or Business Degree
  • Health & Safety qualification recognized by Spanish authorities (e.g., MS in Prevention of Occupational Risks, Safety Specialist, Industrial Hygienist, Ergonomics Specialist)
  • Environmental qualification at diploma or degree level (desirable)

Experience

  • Up to 5 years of professional experience
  • At least 1 year in Environment, Health & Safety
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing sites; railway environment experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001; internal auditor certification is a plus
  • Deep understanding of local legal requirements
  • Experience as a railway or EHS auditor is advantageous

Language:

Fluent in Spanish and English
