A Snapshot of Your Day

As an EHS Coordinator at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the health and safety standards of our projects. Your day will be filled with dynamic interactions, collaborating closely with engineering, project management teams, subcontractors, and customers. You will coordinate the Health and Safety area for Project Entity projects, mainly in Cadiz (Spain) dockyard, offering H&S expertise and leadership throughout the offshore platform construction. Your role is essential in ensuring detailed execution and the highest safety standards in every aspect of our operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Risk Identification and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate occupational risks present in the workplace.
  2. Preventive Measures: Develop and implement strategies and preventive measures to reduce or eliminate identified risks.
  3. HSE-Compliance Inspections: Conduct occupational health and safety inspections to ensure compliance with current regulations.
  4. HSE-Policy Implementation: Drive the implementation of H&S policy on the project according to the Siemens Energy Project Entity guidelines and targets and improve H&S results on site.
  5. Incident Analysis: Investigate and analyze incidents and occupational accidents to determine causes and propose corrective actions.
  6. Trainings and Awareness: Educate, train, and raise awareness among workers about occupational risks and preventive measures.
  7. Collaboration: Work with the workplace safety and health committee to foster a safe working environment.
  8. Prioritization: Ensure that H&S requirements of the projects are strictly met.
  9. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
  10. Sustainability Initiatives: Support and promote sustainability initiatives related to health and safety.

What You Bring

  1. Educational Background: A master’s in occupational risk prevention is required.
  2. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge in occupational risk prevention, particularly in construction projects and dockyard activities.
  3. Legislative Knowledge: Solid knowledge in occupational risk prevention and applicable legislation, and experience in H&S project management.
  4. Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and evaluate occupational risks effectively.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey information about risk prevention to workers and teams.
  6. Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with your team, customers, and subcontractors.
  7. Results Orientation: Proven ability to implement preventive measures effectively.
  8. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and departments to ensure workplace safety.
  9. Self-Sufficiency: Capability to work independently and quickly learn new concepts and processes.
  10. Experience: Experience in communication with the customer and the subcontractor.
  11. Language Skills: Excellent/mother-tongue Spanish language is mandatory; very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
  12. Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  13. Location: Live in Cádiz or be willing to relocate there.
