Formación

  • Extensive experience in HSEQ leadership within Transport, Infrastructure, or consultancy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001), OSHA, EU Directives.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, CQI are highly desirable.

Job Description

HSE Coordinator for Wind and/or Solar Projects – Energy Global Business Area

Overview

As our new HSE Coordinator for Wind and/or Solar projects, you will be part of our Development team within the Energy Global Business Area.

Ramboll supports a portfolio of wind and/or solar PV projects at various development and construction stages. We seek a competent HSE Coordinator to provide support throughout the project lifecycle. You will assist the Clients’ HSE managers across multiple projects, primarily wind and/or solar PV. Your responsibilities include conducting Health, Safety, and Environmental audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, performing visual inspections of project sites, and supporting the development of crisis management plans.

This role offers the opportunity to influence the future of clean energy technology and promote sustainable, safe solutions in the global energy sector. Our assignments are diverse, involving collaborations with market players, joint ventures, investment funds, and potential integration with other technologies, leveraging Ramboll's broad expertise. You will be part of our Wind Development team.

The position is based in Madrid, Spain, with a hybrid work model allowing a mix of office and remote work. Geographical mobility for site visits is required to inspect contractor project sites and ensure the effective implementation of Safety Management Systems.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

You will ensure HSE standards align with international regulations, client requirements, and Ramboll’s quality and safety commitments. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring project health, safety, and environment activities
  2. Ensuring all project members and subcontractors are aware of and adhere to safety policies and plans
  3. Supporting the preparation of HSE requirements, plans, and documentation
  4. Advising project management on HSE matters
  5. Conducting on-site HSE surveillance to verify contractor compliance
  6. Leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  7. Promoting health, safety, and environmental awareness and objectives
  8. Reviewing HSE documentation such as contractor plans and emergency procedures
  9. Preparing reports for internal and external use
  10. Delivering HSE training to contractors and staff
  11. Participating in HSE audits
  12. Driving continuous safety improvements and fostering a safety culture
  13. Developing a Crisis Management Plan
  14. Tracking and reporting on HSE KPIs

Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Possess professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, CQI, or similar (highly desirable)
  • Have extensive experience in HSEQ leadership within Transport, Infrastructure, or consultancy sectors
  • Be experienced in site surveillance and monitoring of wind and/or solar PV construction
  • Have strong knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001), OSHA, EU Directives, and global HSEQ regulations
  • Be capable of developing and implementing HSE management systems and fostering cultural change
  • Exhibit strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Be experienced in stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Possess a growth mindset and adaptability

The candidate should be fluent in Spanish and preferably Portuguese, with strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
