Senior Business Analyst - OpenData Clinical

OpenData Clinical is global reference data on sites and investigators.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be the subject matter expert on OpenData Clinical data structure and quality. You will ensure the data used meets product goals and provide comprehensive data analysis for stakeholders. You will work closely with product management, data operations, data governance, software engineering, and quality assurance teams.

To succeed, you need an academic background in a technical field, substantial experience with data analytics, large databases, and complex data sets. You should be detail-oriented, have a growth mindset, and be capable of turning data into valuable insights. Effective communication with stakeholders and delivering high-quality results within tight timelines are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure data quality and compliance meet high standards
  • Monitor data delivery to the product
  • Optimize existing data tools to streamline operations
  • Identify data gaps and quality issues, providing root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and create customized reports for stakeholders

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a data or business analyst, with 1-2 years in a senior or leadership role
  • Proven success in delivering complex data analytics projects that inform business decisions
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python or R) for data manipulation and automation
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Superset)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with life science data
  • Knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira
  • Ability to create and maintain automated reporting systems
