Formación

  • 2 años de experiencia en aseguramiento de calidad de software.

The Junior QA Analyst is responsible for applying the principles, practices and standards of functional & acceptance testing throughout the software development life cycle. Supporting the business with test coordination activities, functional testing, test execution on digital systems, defect management and handover to the relevant teams.

This role also entails working closely with Release Manager, Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, QA Lead & External Suppliers.

Living in Barcelona or surrounding area and working from our office on a hybrid basis is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive quality assurance measures and enforce testing standards across the business.
  • Review software requirements to ensure clarity and alignment with all business aspects.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to define the scope of testing for projects.
  • Design, create, and execute manual test cases to validate software functionality.
  • Identify and report defects and issues when the platform does not behave as expected.
  • Work with business stakeholders to assess the priority and severity of defects and assign them accordingly.
  • Re-test fixed defects to confirm resolutions provided by development teams.
  • Create, maintain, and manage a test repository within best practices.
  • Validate new software to ensure integration with company systems, meeting functional, compliance, and technical requirements.
  • Communicate test progress, results, blockers, and risks to project stakeholders.
  • Engage with internal and external teams to resolve dependencies, identify workarounds, and ensure testing deadlines are met.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Writing and executing manual test cases based on requirements.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies: Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Load Testing (all applied to web applications).
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or similar.
  • Awareness of test case design techniques (e.g., boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning).
  • Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Understanding of web applications architecture based on PHP, Node.js, Linux, Cloud-based environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation.
  • Introduction to version control systems (e.g., Git / GitHub).
  • Defect management identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using JIRA or other defect management tools.
  • Performing exploratory testing to identify edge cases.
  • Regression testing and verifying bug fixes.
  • Collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product teams to clarify requirements.
  • Reporting test progress and results to the QA lead or manager.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow test plans.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop test automation skills.
  • Experience using Zephyr for test case management and execution within JIRA.
  • Experience in online gaming systems or high-traffic web applications.
  • Experience or familiarity using Selenium, Apache JMeter, Cucumber, Jenkins or other automation tools for web testing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
