Job Summary

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team, working within agile teams focusing on design, impact analysis, and the outcome of our solutions.

The Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects to ensure outcomes, estimates, and adherence to overall strategy, standards, and guidelines. They will also generate interest in new technologies and their applicability in their domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable, and high-performing technological solutions.
• Ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices.
• Define and uphold the Definition of Done at the technical level.
• Analyze technical trade-offs and contribute to scope definition.
• Specify non-functional requirements.
• Maintain security and performance of services.
• Support the team during technological changes.
• Contribute to the development of reference architectures and standards.
• Identify weaknesses and failure points, proposing improvements.
• Reduce technical debt and promote technological evolution.
• Keep technical documentation current.
• Define technical and functional monitoring parameters.
• Negotiate with product leads on prioritization for technological initiatives.
• Advocate for new technological features.

Required Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in software or platform design and end-to-end architecture solutions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience designing and implementing architectures with various databases, caching, and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Postgres, or equivalents.
• Proficiency with frontend technologies like Django and React.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Python and Java.
• Experience working in hybrid-cloud environments including AWS and / or GCP.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery processes and tools.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Leadership qualities and technical expertise.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• Team-oriented with an agile mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage shifting priorities.
• Innovative thinking, multitasking, and effective time management.
• Willingness to learn continuously.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the travel industry.
