ReTree's purpose is to protect and strengthen nature against climate change. We do this by offering conscious and innovative solutions to businesses (B2B) to reforest areas at risk of desertification. We plant a variety of local species of trees and bushes that help offset carbon, generate biodiversity, and impact local communities. Our approach involves monitoring the CO2 absorbed by each tree using our in-house algorithm that estimates the tons of carbon offset, the weeks of rural employment generated, and the positive impact on water resources.

We are a team of 14 based in Madrid, and after 4 years in the business, we are now looking for a person (she/he/they) to help us grow our client base and expand our forests.

Your Role

This is a full-time Head of Sales role based in Madrid, with a hybrid working model (remote and in-office). The position reports to our Managing Director. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying and securing agreements with companies interested in offsetting their carbon footprint (B2B), utilizing our carbon monitoring system (Treegital) to measure and communicate environmental impact.
  2. Expanding our client’s forests as much as possible.
  3. Organizing and coordinating 6-10 reforestation and awareness events annually with the Operational Team.
Your Challenge

Forest Development & Growth:

  • Validate, contact, and convert potential leads interested in measuring and compensating their carbon footprint, supported by our team of SDRs (Seed Generators).
  • Understand customer needs and pain points, translating them into actionable strategies to secure projects.
  • Build carbon solutions proposals based on trees planted and CO2 offset.
  • Introduce and demonstrate Treegital platform to clients, showcasing metrics related to their decarbonization plans.
  • Plan and manage new plantation projects, ensuring compliance with MITECO certificates and real-time monitoring in Treegital.
  • Organize reforestation and regulatory events, providing in-field support to clients when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Sales, Sustainability, or Startup roles is desirable.
  • Strong sense of purpose and passion for nature.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic financial and budgeting knowledge.
  • Highly empathetic with problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Hubspot) and MS Office suite.
  • Bilingual or fluent in Spanish and English.
