Function: FREIGHT PROJECTS OFFICER (f/m/d)

We are looking for a FREIGHT PROJECTS OFFICER for Rhenus AIR &OCEAN , who will join the team in Bilbao. If you are interested in join a high performance team in Spain and working in an international and diverse work environment, and you are entrepreneurial-minded, this is your place

Principle Accountabilities

Manage the transport of imported and exported oversized goods by sea, coordinating the documentation of the merchandise and being responsible for solving the possible incidents that occur in the services.

  • Receive shipping/boarding instructions for oversized maritime goods.
  • Coordinate the collection and loading of goods or the distribution and warehouse arrival to our facilities if necessary.
  • Decide the shipping company to make the shipment will be made based on the rate, the quota of weekly / monthly shipments, the date of shipment, etc.
  • Contact the customer to inform him of the final shipping conditions.
  • Prepare documentation for customs clearance.
  • Receive the BL by the agent or Rhenus office in origin (House and Master) and review it.
  • Receive confirmation of arrival of the ship and the transfer of the container by the shipping company.
  • Coordinate with the customer specific time of delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate the unloading of the goods with the carrier if necessary.
  • Check costs to be invoiced in the system and enter additional costs (occupancy expenses, delay expenses, customs inspection expenses, etc.).

Job Specifications

1- Experience in Logistics Management or Business Administration or related field.

2- A minimum of 3-5 years in freight forwarding (especially Ocean)

3-Excellent Knowledge of the logistics industry and global transportation

4- Enjoy casual, hardworking environment and service-oriented mind.

5- Client Focused - able to anticipate and identify customers’ needs and expectations and what constitutes positive customer satisfaction

6-Good command in English is an advantage.

Work Location is: BILBAO. TORRE IBERDROLA
