What we look for

We are seeking a Software Engineer Manager to contribute to a project with one of our global clients, a leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts. A high level of English is required.

Location: 100% remote for candidates based in Spain.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide clarity on all technical aspects of engineering, guiding design, architecture, implementation, validation, and monitoring.
  2. Execution Leadership: Plan and prioritize the backlog, assign tasks, track project progress, and mitigate risks.
  3. People Leadership: Promote a growth mindset and uphold values of integrity, accountability, and respect within the team.
  4. Ensure stable and smooth maintenance of software within the DevOps model "you build it, you own it, and you run it."
  5. Optimize performance, quality, and responsiveness of delivered software.
  6. Supervise all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  7. Align efforts with the goals and vision set by Product Management.
  8. Foster innovation within your team and technical domain.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Experience as Software Engineer Manager or Technical Lead.
  • Experience working with international clients.
  • Deep understanding of all SDLC stages.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID).
  • Strong Java programming skills and API development experience.
  • Experience with various testing types: unit, API, acceptance, load testing.
  • Experience with distributed architectures (SOA, MSA) and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with REST APIs and AWS services.
  • Proficiency with Gradle or Maven, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in highly regulated environments like banking.
  • AWS certification and experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate).
  • Experience with TDD and BDD.
