The Senior Manager of Marketing will oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of all marketing campaigns and initiatives, both online and offline. This role focuses on driving growth and engagement within the NFL fan base while supporting the NFL's expansion into the Spanish market.

This position will play a critical role in identifying local needs, establishing the local office, and managing the marketing strategy to ensure a cohesive approach across all channels, platforms, products, and NFL pillars.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the planning, execution, delivery, and tracking of all Spain Marketing campaigns and activities, working closely with the NFL Marketing Center of Excellence (COE) and several cross-functional teams, including but not limited to: Club Business Development, Communications & PR, Consumer Products, Data & Analytics (D&A), Events, Media & Business (inclusive of NFL Media and NFL Films production), Sponsorship, for a consistent and integrated marketing approach with one clear vision.
  • Manage and monitor Spain Marketing KPIs (fans, active fans in database, social following and engagement, registered users, etc.) reporting daily, weekly, and/or monthly (depending on the product) on current position and pacing.
  • Supervise NFL Spain Social Media programming and channel strategy, to reach target audience and support global marketing priorities.
  • Collaborate with the NFL Consumer Insights and D&A team to understand Spain fandom and behavioral trends to better inform marketing decisions and attract new audiences.
  • Support the day-to-day operation and commercial initiatives in implementation and execution of partner marketing campaigns and ad-hoc branded content opportunities.
  • Lead development of all marketing creatives and brand approvals for internal stakeholders and commercial partners, as well as being a liaison with NFL Brand Creative team.
  • Manage marketing relationship with Spanish broadcast partners and lead NFL Game Pass, NFL Fantasy, gaming products, and Database marketing initiatives along with strategic partners’ guidance.
  • Brief and oversee relationships with various local and global agencies across media, marketing (including social, digital, influencer & creator), content, PR, etc.
  • Work with community team and international flag football team to develop fan growth opportunities across Spain grassroots participation initiatives.
  • Lead the coordination and relationship with NFL Media and NFL Films content centers, global Spanish-language (Mundo NFL) and Marketing content teams (Social, Content and Influencer/Creator).
  • Provide constructive feedback for contractual social commitments with partners, sponsors, broadcasters and publishers.
  • Manage Marketing Investment to secure budget accuracy and administration with committed Marketing initiatives through the year.
  • Support Global Market Program (GMP) marketing initiatives with all participating NFL clubs in Spain.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree educated (Administration, Commercial/Sales, Marketing/Digital, Finance and/or related)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience
  • 3 years management experience leading people (teams, agencies, stakeholders, others)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (both spoken and written)
  • Proficient in Digital terms and innovation
  • Proven creative problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret insights and data to drive marketing strategies
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint, Excel and Word to develop presentations and budgets
  • Multitasking skills and good time-management skills
  • Passport (for international travel)

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

  • Sports/Entertainment Marketing experience preferred but not essential (ideally knowledge of NFL).
  • A strong team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually, and independently.
  • Deadline and results-driven, with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, and communicate effectively to all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Management of Seasonal marketing partners and potential interns/collaborators

Travel

  • Up to 25%
