Encore Marketing Executive (Temporary Substitution)

Position Summary

Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott Vacation Club. Recognize opportunities to up-sell the customer and sell enhancements to create a better Marriott Vacation Club experience or event. Encourage guests or callers to purchase or schedule preview package sales/tours. Explain details and requirements related to attending a sales presentation to potential owners. Verify that individuals meet eligibility requirements for preview package sales/tours prior to scheduling a tour for a Marriott Vacation Club property. Determine and give premiums to guests as gifts for their patronage (e.g., rewards points, vouchers). Answer guest questions about property facilities/services. Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.

Additional Responsibilities

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally; prepare and review written documents; use telephone and email etiquette. Develop positive working relationships; support team goals; listen and respond to employee concerns. Comply with quality assurance standards. Perform physical tasks such as moving objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Critical Tasks

  • Generate new tours via the Encore program.
  • Manage the Encore post-sales process.
  • Present the Encore program to potential clients.
  • Complete purchase forms and obtain credit card authorization.
  • Ensure positive customer experience and perform follow-up.
  • Maintain knowledge of computer systems (Goldmine, Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Adhere to company policies; protect privacy and confidentiality; ensure professional appearance and hygiene.

  • Greet guests warmly, use their names, listen actively, and respond positively to their needs.

  • Handle objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds; move, lift, and carry as needed.

  • Promote brand awareness and use sales techniques to maximize revenue and loyalty. Develop positive relationships with colleagues, support teamwork, and handle sensitive issues tactfully.
