THE ROLE

Our mission is to create a technology-driven company where we are empowered to solve complex problems and scale our products. We are hiring passionate software developers who enjoy developing simple solutions for complex challenges. Successful candidates will work in a full-stack capacity.

Our tech stack includes Ruby on Rails with PostgreSQL, hosted on Heroku, and we use Terraform for infrastructure management. We encourage team involvement in deployment and production operations.

You will be supported by an Engineering Manager dedicated to your career growth and ensuring your team operates efficiently through continuous improvement. Software engineers at Carwow work within cross-functional teams comprising Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Data Analysts. You will collaborate closely with your Product Manager and Tech Lead on feature development, code reviews, mentoring, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Please note: We value attitude, aptitude, and impact over strict experience, so if you feel aligned with the role, we encourage you to apply.

  • Approximately 3+ years in software development.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and proactive.
  • Ability to handle loosely defined tasks, communicate effectively, and break down work.
  • Experience with TDD, Kafka, Git, JavaScript, Heroku, HotWire (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Write maintainable code with good documentation and testing.
  • Eagerness to learn, share knowledge, and collaborate closely with others.
