What are we looking for?

We seek a seasoned and highly technical cloud Linux Engineer to join our Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure SRE Team as part of a multi-year cloud transformation program.

This is a 100% remote position for candidates located in Spain.

• Engineer and integrate cloud IaaS solutions & services following industry best practices, emphasizing scalability, fault tolerance, resilience, security, observability, and simplicity.
• Conduct proof of concepts for new cloud IaaS, container services, or third-party cloud tooling.
• Collaborate with InfoSec team to review and enhance security posture.
• Devise innovative solutions for complex technical problems involving distributed systems, scalability, and security, translating ideas into designs and implementations.
• Coordinate with peers to understand cloud service priorities and enhancements.
• Assist development teams in their cloud journey, evaluating and implementing cloud services globally.
• Optimize device performance and concurrency with developers through appropriate tuning techniques.
• Identify, automate, and evolve platform reliability, operability, and developer experience improvements.
• Engage weekly with new challenges using our technology stack.
• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills to proactively address issues.
• Possess experience in infrastructure and cloud IaaS engineering.
• Have cloud Linux experience (primarily RHEL and Ubuntu).

In-depth technical knowledge in :

• RHEL 8+
• Ubuntu 20.04+
• Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform
• Scripting and / or Python
• Docker
• Terraform
• Metrics and performance measurement
• Security and vulnerability compliance
• Debugging, query optimization, and large-scale infrastructure projects
• PaaS, Infrastructure-as-Code, Compliance-as-Code
• Designing and supporting cloud IAAS solutions on Azure / AWS
• Packer, Hashicorp Vault, AKS / EKS
• Cloud transformation experience
• Certifications in Azure, RHEL, or Ubuntu
• Understanding of AWS and Azure cloud services
• Experience in the financial sector
