Job Description:

The Digital Business team is responsible for developing cutting-edge digital solutions for global products and processes, organizing IDIADA information, and providing efficient and reliable data exploitation methods for IDIADA Group and our clients. As a Senior Data Engineer/ Architect, you will be entrusted with critical responsibilities that directly impact our organization's data infrastructure and strategic goals. Your primary duties will include:

1. Designing and developing robust database solutions to store and retrieve company information with utmost efficiency and security.
2. Conducting thorough analyses of structural requirements for new software and applications to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
3. Executing complex data migration projects from legacy systems to new solutions, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to operations.
4. Creating detailed conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts to guide the implementation of data architecture strategies.
5. Rigorously testing, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements to enhance system performance and reliability.
6. Implementing strategic optimizations for both new and current database systems to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
7. Establishing and enforcing comprehensive security and backup procedures to safeguard critical company data.
8. Collaborating closely with the Business Intelligence and Machine Learning teams to identify and address future data needs and requirements.
9. Developing and delivering advanced training programs to ensure team adherence to industry best practices and company standards.
10. Spearheading Proof of Concept initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and technological advancement.
11. Implementing and managing KPIs for development processes and services to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
12. Playing a pivotal role in the implementation and execution of our Corporate Data Strategy, aligning data architecture with long-term business objectives.

Qualifications

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years in roles such as Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar
• Proven proficiency in time and resource management
• Strong understanding of design and programming principles
• Deep knowledge of database structures
• Experience in gathering and analyzing complex system requirements
• Expertise in data mining and segmentation techniques
• Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and AWS Data services
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI)

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Language Proficiency:

• Fluent in English and Spanish
