A leading company in the logistics sector is seeking a Strategic Sales Director to spearhead their sales department in Spain. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in sales and business development within the Freight Forwarding industry, along with fluency in English and Spanish. Formación

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development in Freight Forwarding.
  • Strong understanding of air and sea freight logistics.

Job Title : Strategic Sales Director - Spain

Location : Barcelona (Remote possible within Spain with travel)

Overview :

JBAndrews have partnered with a globally recognised name in the logistics industry, after their launch of operations in Spain as part of a strategic growth initiative. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape and develop a sales department in a rapidly growing market. The role combines strategic growth planning with hands-on business development, focusing on expanding the team and driving significant results in the region.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsibility for the new sales activity for the country’s Air & Sea Freight activity
  • Strategically develop and lead a sales department with plans to double the team size within the year.
  • Establish, build, and drive the sales activity for the Spanish setup.
  • Build a robust sales strategy focusing on air and sea freight products.
  • Target small to medium-sized businesses, develop new relationships, and enhance existing networks
  • Collaborate with international offices across key trade lanes, including France, the UK, China, the U.S., Israel, Latin America, Vietnam, Australia, Bangladesh, and India.
  • Report directly to the Managing Director in Spain and the EMEA Director.

Candidate Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or team leadership within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree educated or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of air and sea freight logistics.
  • Languages : Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Industry experience in logistics is preferred, with a strong track record in results-driven roles.
  • Proven success and experience within the Spanish market.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
