Job Summary
The Membership Engagement Specialist will develop and implement strategies to foster meaningful engagement with current members, strengthen member retention, and support the recruitment of new members. This role involves building relationships, managing communications, and creating programs that promote the organization’s value proposition while ensuring an excellent member experience.
Responsibilities
- Member Engagement: Cultivate relationships with current members to foster loyalty and active participation in programs and events. Develop and execute initiatives to gather feedback and address their needs and concerns. Work with existing staff to organize and coordinate member engagement via networking opportunities and educational sessions. Run the project ECHO clinical tumor boards for all the strategic alliance partners (SAPs). Regularly communicate with members and SAPs as needed.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: In collaboration with the digital marketing team, develop and implement targeted recruitment campaigns to attract new members and SAPs. Oversee the creation of engaging materials and presentations to communicate the benefits of membership to potential recruits.
- Retention Strategies: Monitor and analyze membership data to identify trends and opportunities for retention. Design and implement retention campaigns, including renewals, surveys, and exclusive offers for long-term members. Collaborate with other departments to ensure member concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Administrative and Reporting: Review engagement metrics and provide regular reports on membership trends, recruitment outcomes, and retention rates. Prepare reports for the board as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in membership services, customer engagement, or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of members.
- Proficiency in membership management software, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- The role requires flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends and may involve international travel.
