Databricks Platform Engineer

This role involves working in a consulting capacity for a large insurance company based in The Netherlands. The position is primarily remote, allowing you to live anywhere in Spain. You will be employed on a permanent Spanish contract, with occasional meetups in Madrid or Malaga for social events or training.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and innovate the Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data platforms used across the organization within the scope of Data Governance.
  2. Facilitate platform usage by supporting and communicating with data engineers and technical stakeholders to enable the creation of innovative data solutions and products with Data Governance tools.
  3. Perform Operations & Service Delivery, including Change Management, Configuration Management, Lifecycle Management (LCM), and resolving complex incidents and problems.
  4. Ensure security and compliance are maintained according to company policies and procedures.
  5. Proactively enhance infrastructure availability and stability, including monitoring, reliability management, and developing automations via CI/CD pipelines on Azure Cloud.
Who You Are
  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree and possess a strong analytical mindset.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in IT and change management projects.
  • Basic knowledge of Data Management and Data Engineering.
  • Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud infrastructure, systems, and tools.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, particularly setting up pipelines.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
