Job Description

Data and Analytics play a transformational role in creating value today and shaping our future. Our ambition is to be a world-class data and analytics business serving customers across all regions and functions.

This is a hands-on engineering position reporting to the Director of Data & AI within our CILA Data & AI team. You will support cross-functional teams by building and maintaining data infrastructure that enables efficient analysis and insights. The role involves developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and systems for our diverse data consumers across brands in Canada, Iberia, and Latin America. Your data engineering skills will facilitate data-driven decision-making, supporting growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and pipelines
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar cloud data warehouses
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
• Experience with data pipeline tools like DBT, Airflow, or Composer
• Understanding of data modeling and analytics best practices
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Desired :

• Experience in the Gambling/Gaming sector
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker
• Understanding of data governance principles
• Knowledge of how genAI models can be integrated into data engineering
• Experience with real-time data processing
