Descripción del empleo

We are seeking a data engineer with experience in Spark, Kafka, and related technologies. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading, refactoring, and testing Spark code following best practices, and have knowledge of Kafka architecture patterns and strategies for scaling. Familiarity with data lake, data warehouse, and Delta Lake concepts is a plus, along with awareness of current trends in data engineering.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Experience with Scala and Spark, or Java with an interest in Scala. No need for functional programming expertise, as our code is object-oriented.
2. Experience with real-time technologies such as Kafka (KStreams and KSql) and Spark Streaming.
3. Familiarity with Terraform and AWS is a plus.
4. Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with pair programming, remotely.
5. Strong communication and self-management skills, with a focus on responsibility and inclusiveness.

Preferred but Not Mandatory:

• Experience with the following technologies: Node.js (ES6 and Typescript), Python, React, MongoDB, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS services (SNS, SQS, API Gateway, Cognito, Lambda, Redshift, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Interest in continuous learning and skill development in data engineering principles.
