Job Responsibilities

• Identify and stay updated on new environmental requirements, trends, and requests of Benicarlo Site.
• Monitor daily effluent liquid waste and WWTP data analysis; report environmental parameters regularly to the EHS manager.
• Define and maintain environmental operation procedures (WWTP, EVAPO, EPC, RTO, Boilers, residues, etc.).
• Organize and follow up on events in WWT, Evapo, EPC, Boilers, residues, and RTO plants.
• Maintain and update all procedures related to Environmental, Health, and Safety departments, including the SGI.
• Ensure compliance with corporate H&S standards, follow safety instructions and work equipment manuals, and use PPE.
• Warn staff of any anomalies related to production and workplace health and safety, with authority to halt work if necessary.

Key Focus Areas

• Supervise environmental processes as defined.
• Implement established environmental procedures.
• Produce monthly site updates and reports for corporate and authorities.
• Monitor KPIs for WWTP and environmental requirements.
• Follow up on non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Review and update IMS procedures.
• Ensure health and safety of WWTP operators.
• Support sustainability data reporting.
• Coordinate Environmental Management System ISO 14001.
• Update environmental impact evaluations and prevention plans.
• Control, monitor, and improve processes for yields and costs.
• Verify accuracy of information in SAP.
• Propose improvements in equipment, methods, safety, and environment.
• Train WWTP personnel on technical, safety, quality, and environmental issues.
• Collaborate with other departments for production planning.
• Participate in emergency tasks as per P.E.I. or P.E.E.
• Participate in incident investigations.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
• Basic risk prevention certification (50 hours).
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Training in ISO management systems: 9000, 14000, 45000.
• Knowledge of environmental legal requirements.
• Experience in emergency evacuation, drills, and training.
• ISO internal auditor certification.
• Interpersonal skills, problem-solving, teamwork, results-oriented, systematic, leadership, creativity, and innovation.
