Researcher Health-Oriented Application

Position Overview :

We are seeking highly motivated and talented researchers to join our research team. The position will focus on studying and identifying vocal biomarkers for health-oriented applications, such as early detection of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, rare diseases such as Turner syndrome, and pathologies linked to emotional and mental health issues like depression, anxiety, or stress.

The candidate will contribute to advancing La Salle-URL's research in Speech Processing as part of the Human-Environment Research Group (2021SGR01396). This group co-leads, alongside the Universitat de Barcelona, the BeNeXT project (funded by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación PID2023-147001OBC21 / C22). BeNeXT focuses on developing biomarker-enhanced diagnostic and prognostic tools for rare disorders, using X-chromosome alterations in Turner syndrome as a model.

Requirements :
  • The eligibility criteria for the 2024 Beatriu de Pinós call will be determined by the call: 2024 Beatriu de Pinós Call.
  • Availability to travel abroad for conferences, workshops, or meetings.
