Descripción del empleo

Handley James are excited to be partnered with an innovative and exciting business, focusing on providing AI purpose-built pricing software solutions, to the fuel and convenience industry. We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Sales Director to drive the growth of the advanced pricing solutions across Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. Based in Europe and reporting to the Regional Director, you’ll work with leading fuel retailers, EV operators, and convenience store chains to deliver smarter, AI-powered pricing strategies.

You’ll manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals requiring careful coordination across internal teams and client organisations — while also staying agile enough to identify and close smaller, fast-moving opportunities. Success in this role means being able to shift seamlessly between long sales cycles and shorter, high-velocity wins. You’ll be joining a global leader in AI-powered fuel and EV pricing solutions, and a subsidiary of a multibillion dollar group of companies. The technology forecasts consumer buying behaviour in dynamic market conditions and is used by forward-thinking retailers around the globe.

Joining this business means experiencing the best of two worlds : the agility, innovation, and close-knit culture of a startup — combined with the resources, backing, and global reach of a huge multinational company. You’ll be part of a team that moves fast while operating within the trusted structure of a major global brand.

You will :

  • Proactively build and manage your sales pipeline — from identifying and reaching out to prospects, to following up and qualifying leads.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with large global retailers — from prospecting and qualifying to launching proofs of concept, closing deals, and growing long-term strategic accounts.
  • Rally cross-functional teams (product, customer success, engineering, leadership) to provide solutions that resonate with each client’s goals.
  • Act as the project manager of the deal : keeping timelines, aligning stakeholders, managing expectations, and ensuring momentum at every stage.
  • Understand how clients buy — from budget planning to internal politics — and use that insight to navigate the buying process, not just the sales stages.
  • Prepare and deliver forecasts, performance reports, and deal reviews to the leadership.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, competitive offerings, and client challenges to refine your approach.

Required experience :

  • Significant experience selling complex SaaS or software solutions, ideally in pricing, analytics, or retail tech.
  • A track record of closing high-value enterprise deals involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and align internal teams around customer goals.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail, structure, and follow-through.
  • Deep empathy for how clients buy — especially how they justify ROI and navigate budget and approval processes.
  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel as needed across Europe.
  • A well-established network in the forecourt industry and solid knowledge of retail fuel technology is a definite plus.

This role will be covering the EMEA region primarily with some ‘rest of world’ travel, ideally you will be located near one of the four major hubs; London, Barcelona, Frankfurt / Dusseldorf, Copenhagen. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain access to an international consultancy company, dealing with some of the largest businesses in the world.

In return our client is offering a competitive basic salary c€120,000pa (Negotiable dependant on experience), up to 65% bonus in target objectives and benefits (Tailored dependant on country). If this role is of interest, please contact Stuart Tomkinson or click the link to apply.
