Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, maintaining and optimizing technologies across our global warehouse and delivery network.

Purpose of job

We are advancing electric vehicle (EV) adoption and reducing our carbon footprint through a growing EV charging infrastructure. We seek an Electric Vehicle Charger Escalation Team member to manage end-to-end resolution of field issues, collaborating with global stakeholders and vendors. You will mentor specialists supporting remote maintenance coordination across our global charging network. This role involves 24/7 shift work.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Electric Vehicle Charger Escalation Specialists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coordinate reactive maintenance activities remotely, ensuring rapid response and resolution for charging stations worldwide, including handling alarms, trouble tickets, and purchase orders.
• Develop maintenance strategies to minimize downtime, optimize performance, and extend equipment lifespan.
• Use data analytics to identify trends, issues, and improvement areas, developing strategies accordingly.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, working with field teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners for timely resolution.
• Maintain quality control standards for maintenance procedures and training programs.
• Oversee trouble ticket processes, ensuring high standards of customer care and quality.
• Manage maintenance budgets, balancing cost efficiency with service quality.
• Collaborate with procurement, suppliers, and vendors for spare parts sourcing and contract negotiations.
• Create KPIs and generate reports on maintenance performance, sharing insights with senior management.
• Lead training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and capabilities.
• Be flexible to work shifts ensuring global customer support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Apprenticeship, or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of EV charging systems and infrastructure.
• Experience in industrial safety and vendor management.
• Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and support tickets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Knowledge of electric vehicle charging systems and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
