Reporting To

Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your manufacturing and site services assigned areas. You will support the Ring Motors business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge, offering solutions and advice, and ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. The work model for the role is onsite. This position is based in Trapagaran, Spain, within the Process Automation Process Industries division.

Main stakeholders include Manufacturing and Site Service Teams, factory, and global business line management. Your key responsibilities include:

1. Reporting HSE incidents to management and relevant stakeholders, and taking appropriate actions
2. Facilitating and guiding incident investigations to mitigate risks
3. Providing feedback on lessons learned and best practices within your unit and across ABB
4. Supporting behavioral change through the implementation of performance improvement programs
5. Managing projects related to environment and sustainability, focusing on circularity and zero waste to landfill

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Engineering, Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields
• At least 2 years of experience in related roles
• Experience with HSE procedures in manufacturing plants and site activities in international environments
• Engagement in the mining or energy industries
• Proven experience as an HSE technician
• Passion for occupational health, safety, and sustainability
• Proficiency in Spanish and English communication
