CounterCraft is the leading adversary-generated cybersecurity threat intelligence solution powered by deception techniques. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Quality Assurance and Development team as a QA Automation Engineer.

You will report directly to the Head of QA, supporting the growth and development of the department with a focus on best practices and automation to support our rapid business expansion.

Job Brief

We are looking for a detail-oriented, quality-driven professional who follows and implements QA best practices and methodologies. The candidate will join the QA team to enhance our quality standards and development processes.

You will work closely with the Head of QA, Development, and Product teams.

CounterCraft is based in San Sebastian, within the Miramón tech hub. This role can be remote or onsite, within commuting distance of our head office.

Responsibilities

  • Identify issues, bugs, and potential flaws; communicate them via tickets.
  • Review code and merge requests to verify solutions.
  • Plan test cases and update testing procedures.
  • Automate test cases to improve testing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Provide clear reports on testing and QA outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Behave, Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
  • Knowledge of API automation.
  • At least 2 years of automation experience.
  • Experience working within development and QA teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Organized with good documentation skills.
  • Proactive in providing suggestions and ownership of work.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux OS environments.
  • Strong reporting and scoping skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and discipline skills.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • Self-motivated working style.
