TEICON ENGINEERING is seeking a (Pre-) Commissioning Site Supervisor in Tarragona for a major industrial project. The role involves leading pre-commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and coordinating with subcontractors. Candidates should have proven experience in pipeline cleaning and mechanical preparation, with fluency in English preferred. This is a full-time position with a minimum duration of 7 months.

YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to join an ambitious project in Tarragona, where we're constructing a state-of-the-art facility for the production of industrial gases. This role is your chance to lead efforts on a massive project involving superstructures for methane and ethylene production, set to be transported to the United States.

• Project Location : Tarragona, Spain
• Contract Type : Fixed-term employment or freelance contract
• Duration : Minimum 7 months, with possibility of extension
• Workload : 56 hours per week, 6 days per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILIES

• You support the project management team in executing all pre-commissioning activities within the scope of an international large-scale project.
• You coordinate and supervise the pipeline cleaning process (e.g. air blowing) in line with project specifications.
• You align mechanical preparation work with the Piping Supervisor and involved subcontractors.
• You ensure the implementation and compliance with the project-specific HSE standards in all pre-commissioning areas.
• You organize safety briefings for the pre-commissioning team and monitor the use of prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE).
• You participate in the reporting and investigation of safety-related incidents on site.
• You contribute to the development and execution of task-specific Safe Plans of Action (SPA).
• You coordinate open punch-points with the relevant construction disciplines and support material planning for pre-commissioning activities.
• You prepare weekly pre-commissioning progress reports and support regular progress reviews in coordination with the Pre-Commissioning Lead.
• You promote clear task allocation within the team and encourage strong internal communication and teamwork.
• You are flexible and willing to work late or night shifts as required.

YOUR PROFILE

• You bring proven experience in pre-commissioning activities, ideally with a focus on pipeline cleaning and mechanical preparation.
• You have a strong understanding of HSE regulations and their practical implementation on industrial construction sites.
• You possess mechanical knowledge that enables effective coordination with piping supervisors and subcontractors.
• You are proficient in reading and interpreting P&ID and isometric drawings.
• You communicate fluently in English; German and / or Spanish language skills are a plus.
• You are a team player with a structured and proactive work ethic and the ability to work independently.
• You are flexible and available for late or night shifts as required.
