Manufacturing Consultant

We are recruiting a freelance MES Consultant for an Aviation Customer based in Madrid, Spain:

Duration: 2 years + chance of extensions

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support, development, and enhancement of MES projects, ensuring smooth IT-OT integration.
• Work closely with clients to understand MES requirements and prepare technical design documents.
• Ensure smooth deployment and release management of MES solutions.
• Design and architect MES solutions aligned with overall IT architecture.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to integrate MES solutions effectively.
• Provide techno-functional leadership and mentorship to developers and team members.
• Ensure MES solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security standards.
• Maintain high-quality application support documentation.
• Develop maintenance plans and system upgrade schedules.
• Share knowledge and provide team support where needed.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong domain knowledge of Manufacturing / Aerospace Industry.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ME / MII, Discrete Manufacturing processes, PLC, SCADA.
• Experience with MES / MOM technologies and SAP integration (SAP PP, MM, SD, WM modules).
• Proficiency in Machine Integration via OPC and other interfacing protocols.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, sensors, and IIOT devices.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with executives, managers, and SMEs.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of SAPUI5.
• Programming experience in Java, .Net, SQL, Oracle.
