RELP is an impact-driven, independent nonprofit organization dedicated to making renewable energy deployment cheaper and faster in emerging and developing countries. Our goal is to increase reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy to help mitigate climate change.

Our mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by unlocking renewable energy markets for scalable private investments at low costs, thereby promoting sustainable economic development.

Our prominent Advisory Board includes Michael Liebreich, Rachel Kyte, Rebecca Collyer, Angelina Galiteva, David Rogers, Daniel Magallón, Charles Bai, and Felix Zhang. Liz Bronder is also part of our team and board.

We are seeking a Sr. Research Associate to join our dynamic, rapidly growing, and innovative organization.

The ideal candidate will be autonomous, a fast learner, and proactive. Your main focus will be to enhance our analytics and energy research capabilities.

How you will contribute :
  • Research and compile information about target countries, including economic context and power market features, to prepare Country Profiles reports.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations or reports on relevant topics for identifying and selecting target countries.
  • Draft Collaboration Agreements with target countries and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare materials for signing Collaboration Agreements and meetings with representatives.
  • Create reports, white papers, and documents to support decision-making or enhance understanding of topics.
  • Deliver presentations, courses, or seminars to representatives of partner countries as part of capacity-building activities.
  • Prepare and deliver ad-hoc presentations or reports as required by RELP's core team.
What you will bring :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics (Mandatory)
  • Master's in Renewable Energy or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in research (Mandatory)
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the energy sector
  • Professional proficiency in English and French (Mandatory)
