Manager, Customer Warranty Problem Solving (Presential or Remote, Full-time)

TPI Composites is the leading wind-blade manufacturer and the only independent wind blade manufacturer with a global footprint. We are looking for a motivated Problem-Solving Manager to join our Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department. The position reports to the Director, CWM Department.

Key objectives

The new Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department oversees TPI Composite blade products Quality at customer sites (windfarms) within the Warranty period. As our new Problem-Solving Manager, you are an excellent communicator, a people leader, and a recognized technical expert in composites engineering, manufacturing, and problem solving, with direct knowledge of wind blades. In this role, you will lead a team of problem solvers, including technical leads and project managers, driving the CWM Department towards high efficiency in resolving complex issues and exceeding customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Lead a team of Technical Leads (TLs) & Project Managers (PMs) managing open Warranty projects across all customers, following the internal CWM process.
  • Manage team resources to support the demands from CWM Customer Relations Managers.
  • Oversee all Warranty projects as an internal leader, supporting customer communications as needed.
  • Develop and assess the team’s capabilities, ensuring efficient response to business demands, and maintain project resource planning, forecasting, and escalate shortages as needed.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure timely delivery, and report on status and risks, escalating high risks to executive leadership.
  • Mentor the team technically and on CWM processes, leveraging expertise in problem solving, blades technology, engineering, and quality.
  • Collaborate with the CWM Lean System leader to improve the CWM process continuously.
  • Work with Customer Relations Managers and System managers to improve customer satisfaction regarding TPI’s responsiveness to urgent issues.
  • Support escalation of internal resource allocation from other functions when necessary.
  • Ensure the quality of Warranty project reviews and take accountability for critical project leadership when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering required; MSc, MBA, or PhD preferred.
  • At least 15 years of industry experience, with 10+ years in wind blade composites preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and excellent presentation abilities.
  • Strong attention to quality, detail, and working with vendors, customers, and teams.
  • Experience leading high-performance teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
