At Devex, our vision is to do more good for more people in the global development community. We are a media platform connecting over 1 million development professionals through news, jobs, content series, events, and funding. The Devex Partnerships team plays a key role in our news function, creating content sponsored by or developed with input from NGOs, foundations, corporations, aid agencies, and others. Our work includes events, visual stories, surveys, and more.

About you

Do you have 3+ years' experience in media events, drafting concept notes, securing speakers, engaging partners, and working with project managers to produce high-quality editorial events and content? Are you interested or experienced in global development or humanitarian aid sectors? Are you excited to join a mission-driven media company with a collaborative culture? If yes, keep reading.

What you’ll do here

• In your first 30 days: familiarize with team members, collaborate on an editorial event brief, secure speakers, and learn internal tools and processes.
• Within your first year: organize standalone events around major events like the World Health Assembly, U.N. General Assembly, COP28, Davos, and Devex World; create content such as takeaways, Q&As, social clips; build strong relationships with partners and vendors.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

• Native-level English (spoken and written)
• Experience in media, communications, or journalism
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Work authorization in Spain
• Ability to travel internationally 2-3 weeks per year

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in global development or humanitarian sectors
• Master’s degree
• Experience with audiovisual or social media
• Additional language skills (French, Spanish, or Arabic preferred)
