PROJECT MANAGER DATA CENTER - PCI / HVAC

Our client is a well-known, multinational technology company. Due to the large volume of projects and overall growth that the company is experiencing in the highly emerging field of Data Centers, we are supporting the search of a skilled Project Manager to lead Fire Safety and Climate Control projects across Data Centers in Spain. There is a specific need to find a solid PM for a hyperscale Data Center project for a major tech company (commuting from other locations would be an option if you make yourself available to travel onsite when required).

Mission:

You will be responsible for the technical and financial control of the project, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines. You will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet commercial and technical goals while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Lead and manage Climate Control and Fire Protection projects in large Data Centers, defining scope, objectives, and technical feasibility in collaboration with stakeholders. Ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget by monitoring project progress (adjust plans as necessary and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using proper verification techniques). Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure project compliance with current regulations and perform risk assessments to minimize potential issues. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• RELATIONSHIPS & LEADERSHIP: Manage the client contract and lead direct relationship with them, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Report and escalate to management as needed. Allocate resources effectively, managing internal resources and third-party suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications:

• We are looking for an Industrial Engineer (specialized in Electrical / Mechanical fields) with proven technical experience in Fire Protection and Climate Control / HVAC projects within a hyper-scale / mega Data Center context. Proficient in project scheduling, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking and managing multiple deadlines. Qualified for certification and/or legalization of PCI.
• Project management and direction in large Data Center (built in the last 4-5 years) experience is mandatory. These Data Center construction projects are like EPC projects, and someone who has worked on these over the last 4-5 years knows they will be expected to review numerous plans, documents, mock-ups, benchmarks, etc. An opportunity to be promoted to Project Director, overseeing multiple Project Managers.
• High Level of English.
• Flexible and resilient, able to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
• Full willingness to travel across Spain.
