IT Architect: in the Cloud

Full-time, immediate start, in Coburg, permanent position

What you can look forward to:

• Designing and implementing innovative solutions as part of an agile team, responsible for target architecture and system design.
• Working within a cross-functional team, considering current IT standards, our IT strategy, business aspects, and framework conditions in decision-making.
• Finding and communicating solutions by closely coordinating with your Digital Service Owner and other stakeholders, advising on technical solutions and digital innovations.
• Assessing existing system landscapes and identifying modernization needs.
• Supporting the management of external service providers and planning and structuring technical implementations.
• Monitoring IT architecture trends and engaging in dialogue with internal and external IT architects beyond project implementation.

Your profile:

We value your technical skills in IT architecture and your personality over formal degrees or training. You have several years of experience in (agile) service development, IT architecture, and DevOps. Familiarity with architecture principles (e.g., "clean architecture"), common patterns, and anti-patterns is essential. You possess in-depth knowledge of cloud services in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, and practical experience with microservice technologies like Quarkus and/or Spring Boot. Your understanding extends to backend technologies such as HTTP/REST and event-driven architectures. You are eager to learn new technologies, evaluate their applicability, and communicate complex topics clearly to non-technical colleagues. You excel at prioritization and balance pragmatism with perfectionism.
