At DXC Spain, we are looking for a Front-end Software Engineer to join our great team of Assure.

DXC Assure Digital Platform is a digitally-enabled, end-to-end SaaS offering that provides business services supporting the entire insurance industry. It is cloud native at its core, API enabled, configurable, and highly automated.

The candidate will work from the Asturias Center, joining a global team of UX designers and front-end engineers, collaborating with back-end engineers, Architects, and Product Owners towards the DXC Assure SaaS roadmap. The role involves contributing to DXC’s Software Build organization, which oversees innovation and R&D for DXC’s product offerings, including open-source projects like Halstack Design System and DXC Developer Central.

This position requires working in an international environment following Agile methodologies and cloud technologies within a multidisciplinary, multi-language, and multicultural team.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience
• High level of English
• Proficiency in JavaScript
• Experience with React
• Knowledge of Design Systems
• Software Engineering literacy
• Excellent team player
• Desirable: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AWS Architecture, REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture

Tasks

• Research and development of new tools, cloud technologies, platforms, and languages for the DXC Assure Digital Platform roadmap.
• Participate in the full product lifecycle, collaborating with Product Owners and Architects to develop new features.
• Deliver new product features with a focus on clean, reusable, and tested code, ensuring scalability, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Mentor and coach peers through code reviews and pair programming, supporting professional growth.
• Contribute to defining system strategies and shaping roadmaps for new initiatives.
• Engage with the open-source community to improve the Halstack design system using user-centered methodologies.
