Job Summary

The Corporate IT System Subject Expert forms part of the team of engineers focused on Systems-related technologies within the wider Corporate Systems team. The role involves driving the implementation, operation, and improvement of the systems tech stack and practices, including compute, storage, identity, and security, with a focus on our corporate systems' reliability, scalability, and efficiency. The role collaborates closely with the Technology, Corporate, and Platform teams to align on and drive the Corporate IT compute system. The ultimate goal is to build and run a reliable, scalable, and secure set of compute capabilities in HBX Group while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Support the Corporate IT Systems team in day-to-day activities, delivering high-quality results and meeting service targets.
  2. Collaborate with the Corporate Systems Lead and other platform teams to align on the IT roadmap and strategy.
  3. Drive strategic compute initiatives focusing on on-premises and cloud capabilities, storage, identity, and security, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
  4. Apply best practices, implement standardized and automated processes, and ensure effective provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of computing services.
  5. Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to computing services, acting as an escalation point for complex challenges.
  6. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools and methodologies.
  7. Participate in a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, sharing knowledge and enhancing skills through experimentation and problem-solving.
  8. Contribute to discussions and decisions on the overall corporate IT architecture and strategy.
Skillset and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems engineer in related roles.
  • Experience in IT Operations or similar functions.
  • Strong technology background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; a master's is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with Azure cloud systems (IaaS, etc.).
  • Experience with AD, Exchange, O365, ADFS, GPO, and SSO systems.
  • Knowledge of system security, storage, and data backup/recovery.
  • Experience with MS platforms (Windows 7/8/10).
  • Familiarity with network topologies, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
  • Certifications in IT Operation frameworks and Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
  • MS Systems-related certifications (AZ104 or similar) are required.
