Job Description :

Online Community Manager (Social Media) - Italian speaker (fully remote) - 6 months contract with potential to extend to 12 months. Our client connects over 430 million people monthly through shared interests, encouraging sharing, voting, commenting, and creating across thousands of communities. We seek a strategic community management and operations expert to join the International Community team and expand outside the US. As the Community Operations Specialist, you will foster local communities, focusing on the Italian market, fluent in English and Italian. Your proactive initiatives will build bridges with volunteer moderators and refine our international consumer playbook, helping accelerate growth in Italy. Responsibilities :
  1. Understand the market deeply to identify user and moderator pain points, competitors, and opportunities.
  2. Build and grow a local community of moderators, onboarding external creators and users to active moderation roles.
  3. Engage with volunteer moderators to build trust and drive community engagement, mediating conflicts and facilitating solutions.
  4. Iterate and scale the growth playbook by identifying new opportunities and aligning internal teams on new initiatives.
  5. Analyze data, set KPIs, and execute community initiatives, using insights to guide strategy.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development teams.
What We Can Expect From You :
  1. 2-5 years of experience in community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting with measurable impact.
  2. Deep understanding of Italian culture, current events, politics, customs, language, and societal topics.
  3. Knowledge of internet culture specific to Italy and cultural nuances.
  4. Effective communicator, collaborating across teams and with external stakeholders.
  5. Results-oriented with attention to detail and project execution skills.
  6. Interest in developing and testing new initiatives, with a problem-solving mindset.
Bonus Points :
  1. Moderation experience (e.g., Discord, forums).
  2. Proficiency in SQL.
